A mango at the Park and vowels

As a “media mañana” (half morning literally) but really referring to the fruit the kids eat in the morning before lunch, we had mango. The teachers got one each and it was a nice experience because we were at the park without any cutting utensils so we ate the mango in a wild way, hehe sorta just bitting into the thing. I liked eating the mango like this, it reminded me of being a child and not caring if you got messy. My hands were muddy but I bit into the mango blissfuly, at that moment I was very happy. Biting into the mango, eating it with dirty hands and not caring reminded me of childhood.

Like all the times we got to the park the children have alot of fun, they love it! They happily slide or happily swing. One of the four year olds learned how to swing by herself, it made me proud. :) I am teaching the kids to say please and thank you as are the other teachers, and they are rapidly learning. We are also teaching them the vowels, they now know that thay are A E I O U, they are still working on how to identify them etc. I hope they will learn them before I leave.

    Maria said,

    A,E,I,O,U Como te llamas tu?
